Who is thi? And what kind of a name is that?
Hi Dad, I am fine, I just thought that the sign that I saw on a table was pretty funny. I imagined good old "Un," not wanting anyone to use his table, so he put a sign on it claiming it as his own. Only Un (unlike many who err in the opposite direction) used one too few apostrophes. As for the lunch photo. Well, I think that was my all time record for plastic container use in one meal. And if you think I am weird, well, you know whose fault at least 50% of that is. sue
Mompoet wrote"I imagined good old "Un," not wanting anyone to use his table, so he put a sign on it claiming it as his own".I considered that possibility, but Un would have had to have omitted not only the apostrophe but also the space between the "s" and "table", so I rejected that interpretation because no one would make two mistakes that close together. Thus the table had to belong to "thi", who omits apostrophes but not spaces, and who is the new-age sort of person who refuses to capitalize his or her name ;-) .
Well, that's a whole different, and totally more logical explanation. Perhaps Un and thi are fighting over the table, which for thi, is and unstable table, but for Un is simply a table which belongs to Un.MPps Either way, we'd better not use it!
